once upon a time …
John Grisham was a lawyer. a lawyer who wanted to be a writer.
a lawyer who wrote for half an hour every day before he started lawyer.ing.
that’s the story of this body of work. i pre-painted the acrylics. and would sit - to draw 100 lines before breakfast. before I had to go to school and teach other humans how to do the arting. it was a way of clinging to my own personal art making process in a way that made it fit into the small available pocket i had.
100 little lines in secret. on a little piece of paper. just for me. day after day after day. before the day started for everyone else. it was delicious.
