I-70 runs east-west from Baltimore, Maryland, through Denver and out to Cove Fort, Utah. … I had this fascination with cowboys, horses and the whole “American West” iconography that Marlboro was selling as a kid. American history is so complex - - but whoever was advertising adventure and frontiers and sleeping out under the stars with hot dogs and beans … they totally had me.
